 Ecom can trace its roots to Cotton merchandising. In 1849 the company was founded in Barcelona, Spain to finance imports of cotton to the Spanish Textile Industries. The first international expansion of the cotton operations was to the United States. In 1885 members of the second generation established a cotton office in New York City. Over the years, the Group moved to Savannah, Georgia, then to New Orleans, Louisiana before finally establishing its current operations in Dallas, Texas. |
