Project in Marcala, Honduras

Sogimex S.A , our company in Honduras, is about to launch in July 2002 a new project in the region of Marcala focused on :

• improvement of coffee production under sustainable practices to reverse extremely low yield
• training of local project staff and technicians in coffee production and processing
• improvement on coffee quality
• eventually, supporting organic certification taking advantage of our certified mill
• promotion, marketing and alternative trading
• The projects will benefit 400 producers who own between 1-10 hectares.
