Fakoco, our operation in Douala Port, the economic capital of Cameroon, started up in the beginning of 2005. Fakoco's main objective is to assure the best quality control throughout the process from bean drying to exporting and actual delivery of the cocoa beans. Fakoco wants to be a reliable exporter providing the best from Cameroon to its customers. As a general overview, the country exports around 140,000 MT of cocoa beans per year, while another 30,000 MT are for local consumption. Cameroon cocoa beans are well known for giving a reddish cocoa powder, well appreciated by many chocolate makers around the world.
