Connect One ECOM: First Test Cycle for New CTRM system 'iRely'
In August, 59 colleagues from across ECOM gathered in Amsterdam to launch the first test cycle for the CTRM system iRely. With diverse representation from 18 countries and 7 functions - including Coffee, Cotton, Cocoa, Finance, IT, and transformation – the event offered a unique opportunity for cross-commodity collaboration.
The testing sessions were organized through the coordination of David Martinez and the BSCX team and included presentations from Paul McNougher, Marco Chapa, Katie Schaefer, and Guus de Gruiter to provide context on the strategic goals of the project and the importance of the testing phase.
What is CTRM?
CTRM is the new CMS platform provided by our software partner iRely, a market-leading provider with almost 40 years of experience developing Commodity Trading and Risk Management solutions.
The BSCX team have been working with iRely and Group Process Owners from across ECOM to define processes and develop the base solution.
The global CTRM rollout will be essential to realizing the One ECOM goals as we build a global platform for the future.
What is Test Cycle 1?
Test Cycle 1 is a key milestone in the project as this marks the first phase of software testing conducted by end users. Participants collaborated across functions and with the iRely team to execute real-world ECOM scenarios within the iRely system, ensuring the solution aligns with ECOM’s requirements ahead of the global rollout.
While this is the first of three planned test cycles, the Amsterdam event was a resounding success thanks to the hard work and dedication of all attendees.
