We are our people! ECOM Onboarding reaches 100s of staff in Central America
Our recently launched ‘Welcome to ECOM’ onboarding programme has been brought to life for 100s of employees in our Central and Latin America businesses. As many of our staff work in remote locations, and do not all have access to a computer and or internet connectivity, our HR teams in Mexico and Central America have organized live, in-person training sessions for these staff. So far, over 355 administrative and operational employees have been trained in this way. The e-learning content, especially the videos, maps and other interactive elements are used during the live trainings. It helps that the learning was already in Spanish!
Daniela Roblero - HR Manager from Cafesca, Mexico writes, ‘ The training to CAFESCA Collaborators has generated a lot of interest in learning more about what ECOM does – especially the people behind this great Group. Remembering the phrase ‘We are our people!’ Our employees make us who we are: they are the heart of ECOM. Thus generating a sense of belonging not only with CAFESCA but also going further, to the ECOM Group.’
Petronila López HR Manager Nicaragua - We continue to join forces with management to achieve 100%. In addition, we have incorporated the new global onboarding into our local onboarding process, from the first day the new talent joins.
Let’s hear from some of the participants…
Jadder López - Managua, Nicaragua, Office Driver
"Interesting about how it started from 1849 to today and how ECOM helps farmers with their crops"
Dariana Luna- Senior Treasury Officer
"I consider that the Global Onboarding Program is an excellent opportunity to introduce and insert both new entrants and each member of staff into the ECOM world, so that they know what we do and who makes up this great family."
Victor Rostran Jarquín - Head of Integrated Management Systems
"The Onboarding program, personally, was very important since it provided a better understanding of the structure of the organization, the other origins (country where ECOM has a presence), the contribution to the different activities in terms of the SDGs, where we are and where we are heading, as well as facilitating integration with new collaborators, we are more qualified and we recognize the values, vision, as well as expectations. It also made me interested in other commodities."
