International Women's Day: Growing Women Innovators at ECOM
On International Women's Day this month, ECOM shared a short video showcasing our wonderful women and reaffirming our commitment to the women in our business. We value, respect and empower women at every step of our supply chain – amplifying their voices and cultivating long-term equality in their communities.
By fostering innovation, we’re empowering women to develop deep expertise and to use their diverse skills to make a meaningful impact. This includes providing catered support by investing in gender equity programmes and training women farmers to adopt innovative farming practices.
We’re thankful to all women that contribute their invaluable skills, time and knowledge to our business.
International Women's Day with the Amsterdam team
For International Women's day, the Amsterdam team had an afternoon tea activity.
With the end of COVID restrictions, this year's International Women’s Day was a great opportunity for the professional ladies at the ECOM Amsterdam office to come together for Afternoon Tea. 18 ladies of different nationalities and professions gathered for the tea with homemade pastry and salads, to celebrate the Women's Day and participate in a quiz highlighting the history and current affairs of women empowerment worldwide.
Women constitute a vital part of the workforce through the whole ECOM Cocoa supply chain, and the ECOM Amsterdam office is not an exception. Women here are working in quality, shipping, accounting, HR, sustainability, and trading departments, sharing their knowledge, empowering each other, and innovating for the further prosperity of the company.
